This beautiful 1961 33 ft. Shepherd Cabin Cruiser is a rare find, being #6 off the production line that year. I have been fortunate to have it in my possession for over a decade. Number details are etched on top of the door by the manufacturer leading down to the living area. It is now time to sell this lovely classic Canadian built Shepherd Cruiser to someone who will continue to look after and cherish Her.
This boat has an all mahogany double hull and is powered by the original twin Chrysler 318s which were completely rebuilt in about 1999 and since then have logged 540 hours.
The interior has been completely renewed with new upholstery throughout, new foam in all beds and seating as well as new curtains.
Galley has been renewed with new force 10 gimbled stove installed with two burners and a grill. Fridge is found below gimbled stove in picture. The dining area features a new mahogany table built by a restoration craftsman from Heritage Canada who was also commissioned to make the new swim platform ladder.
Beaten brass hood and inbuilt extractor fan, overlie the stove, there is a trident marine safety panel which connects to an air tight twin propane locking storage bin located topside under the "Admirals'" seat. Skipper's station control panel is pictured below with depth finder and tachometer. It is also of note that throughout the boat hardware has been replaced by Restoration Hardware in Portland with glass door knobs and brass face plates.
There is a four speaker radio/CD system installed below.
The Head is new with a faux marble shower and sink.
There are two Kucera solar panels on the top deck which deliver about 80 watts. They power through a Prospect Marine battery charger in the engine room area which has its own lighting.
